Medusa has been commonly known throughout history as a monsterous creature who has snakes for hair and a gaze that turns others to stone. What many do not know is how she was transformed into this creature. Behind every villian is a villian story, and Medusa is not an exception. To briefly sum up my research, I've discovered that she was meant to be a pure priestess but was sexually attacked. Unfairly, this deemed her to be tainted, therefore punishable to be turned into a monster. When I found out about this part of her history, I felt inspired to share the other side of her story. It is common now to find people who have been judged unfairly based on things out of their control. Myself included. This can shape a feeling of a lonely helplessness... that is until a realization of the strength gained from the challenges! When you embrace your hardships as the building blocks that have made you stronger, you become Enlightened to just how powerful you are!
